Today I figured out my schedule for the next week and laid out my goals for my independent study. Next week, I will officially start shadowing Holly Omlor throughout her day. I will follow her as she does shoots, edits photos, and handles orders, among other things. Additionally, at the end of the week, Holly has a creative shoot in the evening at a flower shop that I will be going to.
My goals for my independent study include learning Photoshop, adding more photography knowledge to what I’ve already know, and apply the physics knowledge that I learned when I took Photography and Physics my sophomore. At the intensive fair I plan on showing what I learned in Photoshop by doing a “tutorial” on a photo that I took. Additionally, to visually represent what I learn about photography, I will be taking portraits at the beginning and at the end of the intensive and comparing them. Finally, I will review what I learned in Photography and Physics and do more in depth research about the topic.
